ROLE:
Purpose and Scope

This new role is to provide support to the Financial Controller on the financial reporting which includes assisting with annual statutory reporting, year end audit work, accounting technical work papers and accounting policy setting, risk review and compliance.

The role will also provide assistance in terms of the delivery and co-ordination of the year end numbers and reporting packs to KPMG, and the subsequent completion and sign off of the statutory accounts.

Responsibilities include:
• Group statutory accounts preparation, including local Group consolidation and reconciliation with the management accounts
• Year end audit requirements and co-ordination of audit process
• Tax computations for year end process
• Regulation and compliance
• Working with Internal Audit on risk reviews and implementation of improvements
• Keeping up to date with any developments in IFRS and providing updates to rest of Finance team
• Special accounting projects as required
• Ad hoc work as and when required

Organisational relationships
• The role reports to the Financial Controller and will be required to work closely with other members of the Finance Team as well as with the external auditors.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience
• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 1-3 years post qualification experience
• Commercial experience an advantage
• Technically strong with IFRS knowledge
• Experience of working with a variety of systems including Excel and Word, along with SUN Accounts

The Position

Position Purpose:

THE ROLE AND THE DEPARTMENT.

Background:
Our client’s Exchange Games (XG) is a hugely successful innovation that now needs to be taken to the next level. A commercially driven marketeer with at least two years online gaming experience is required to work for our client’s expanding Malta office.

Reporting to the Head of Games, the successful applicant will be responsible for driving revenue by co-ordinating all marketing activity for XG, and working with the Product team on development. He or she will also be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Exchange Games product, including managing liquidity and risk and liaising with Customer Services on specific customer issues.

Key to success will be ability to co-ordinate work within our client’s internal teams, such as marketing and product development. Being a good communicator and team player is essential for this role, as well as a commercial understanding of how this business makes money and what motivates people to play.

Specific tasks will include:
• P & L responsibility for our client’s Exchange Games.
• Planning and co-ordinating an ongoing programme of acquisition, cross-sell, up-sell and reactivation campaigns. Maximising ROI.
• Understanding and knowing playing attributes of high level players. Working with Key Account Managers and International teams to deliver excellence in bespoke customer relationship management.
• Driving the commercial requirements of Exchange Game product development, including the games themselves, websites and non customer facing tools such as backend management systems.
• Management of exchange game automated trading systems to maximise profitability.
• Champion the “XG” product internally, ensuring it receives maximum ‘share of voice’ – particularly that it is adequately promoted alongside our client’s other product.

Experience:
• Bright and proactive self-starter.
• At least 2 years marketing / campaign management experience within the new media environment.
• Strong analytical / reporting skills required with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience of working with large, high profile partners would be an advantage.
• Should have a broad and current knowledge of Online Gaming.
• Highly organised with good communication and personal skills.
• Any experience of bookmaking or financial or sports spread betting trading would be a bonus as well as an understanding of betting exchanges.

Working for this betting company your day to day responsibilities will include:
