Requirements:
-
Chemical/process engineering background.
-
Knowledge of electrolyser technology.
-
Industrial hydrogen project experience.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Process Design & Engineering
-
Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
-
Design systems for hydrogen production (electrolysis, reforming, gasification).
-
Size and specify equipment (electrolyzers, compressors, storage vessels, pipelines, purification units).
2. Optimization & Safety
-
Optimize hydrogen yield, efficiency, and energy consumption.
-
Conduct hazard and operability studies (HAZOP) and risk assessments.
-
Ensure compliance with safety standards (ATEX, hydrogen embrittlement, explosion protection).
3. Project Development & Execution
-
Support feasibility studies and techno-economic assessments.

-
Work with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contractors during project delivery.
4. Testing & Commissioning
-
Oversee commissioning of hydrogen plants or pilot facilities.
-
Troubleshoot process issues during startup and operation.
5. Research & Innovation
-
Evaluate new hydrogen technologies (solid oxide electrolyzers, PEM, ammonia as carrier).
-
Support pilot projects and demonstration plants.
