Job Description

PG Global is recruiting a Project Finance Analyst to support investments in solar, wind, and hydrogen projects across Europe. Join a growing team at the forefront of renewable energy investment.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.

  • 2+ years’ experience in project finance, ideally in renewables.

  • Strong analytical and Excel modelling skills.

  • Strong financial modeling and Excel proficiency (often VBA/advanced functions).

  • Extensive knowledge of project finance structures and renewable energy economics.

  • Familiarity with PPA structures, tax equity, and regulatory incentives.

Core Responsibilities:

  • 1. Financial Modeling & Analysis

    • Build and maintain detailed financial models for renewable projects (IRR, NPV, cash flow, sensitivity analysis).

    • Assess project bankability under different financing structures (debt, equity, tax equity, grants).

    • Conduct scenario modeling for energy price fluctuations, policy changes, and technical assumptions.

    2. Due Diligence

    • Support technical, legal, tax, and market due diligence for projects and portfolios.

    • Review project documents (PPAs, EPC contracts, O&M agreements, land leases, grid connection agreements).

    • Identify and quantify risks affecting financial performance.

    • Conduct risk assessments and scenario analysis.

    3. Transaction Support

    • Assist in structuring and executing project financings, acquisitions, and divestitures.

    • Work with lenders, investors, and internal teams during financial close.

    • Support negotiations with banks, tax equity investors, and development partners.

    • Support debt/equity financing and liaise with investors.

    4. Market & Policy Research

    • Analyze renewable energy markets (electricity pricing, policy incentives, regulatory frameworks).

    • Track trends in financing structures (green bonds, sustainability-linked loans, tax credits).

    • Provide input for investment strategies and pipeline prioritization.

    5. Reporting & Presentation

    • Prepare investment memos, pitch decks, and decision papers for senior management and investment committees.

    • Present financial analyses and recommendations to stakeholders.

    • Maintain databases of project KPIs and financial benchmarks.

    6. Collaboration

    • Work closely with project developers, engineers, legal teams, and asset managers.

    • Coordinate with external advisors, banks, and consultants.
