Job Description
Responsible for the operation & maintenance of utility-scale solar PV assets. In this role you are responsible for keeping solar power plants (rooftop, commercial, or utility-scale) running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role is very hands-on and site-based, focusing on inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Requirements:

Vast experience with SCADA monitoring.

Ability to work independently.

Strong electrical background (DC/AC circuits, inverters, transformers).

Knowledge of solar PV systems, monitoring tools, and SCADA.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Inspection & Monitoring

Perform routine inspections of solar panels, inverters, combiner boxes, trackers, transformers, and switchgear.

Monitor system performance through SCADA, monitoring platforms, or handheld tools.

Identify faults, underperformance, or degradation.
2. Preventive Maintenance

Clean solar modules to maintain efficiency.

Torque, tighten, and check electrical/mechanical connections.

Inspect cabling, grounding, and protective devices.

Service and test inverters, batteries (if hybrid), and safety systems.
3. Corrective Maintenance & Repairs

Diagnose and repair faults (electrical, mechanical, or software).

Replace defective components (panels, fuses, breakers, inverters).

Support warranty claims with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
4. Health, Safety & Compliance

Work safely with high-voltage DC/AC systems, following lock-out/tag-out procedures.

Use PPE (arc-flash gear, harnesses for rooftop/height work).

Ensure compliance with electrical codes and site safety rules.
