Job Description

PG Global is looking for two experienced AUV Technicians to join an upcoming offshore team supporting operations in the UK. The role will involve ensuring Autonomous Underwater Vehicle systems are prepared, maintained, and operated to a high technical standard throughout offshore campaigns. The chosen candidates will work alongside the wider survey and subsea teams to deliver reliable AUV operations and high-quality underwater data.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare AUVs and supporting equipment prior to offshore deployment
  • Complete system testing, inspections, calibration, and operational checks
  • Assist with safe launch, deployment, recovery, and mobilisation of AUV equipment
  • Monitor vehicle systems throughout subsea missions and identify potential issues
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, electronic, and communication faults
  • Undertake planned maintenance, repairs, and component replacement as required
  • Support mission preparation and assist with reviewing collected survey data
  • Keep maintenance documentation, equipment records, and daily reports up to date
  • Coordinate with survey teams, ROV crews, vessel personnel, and project management
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures, HSE standards, and offshore regulations

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience with AUVs, ROVs, or comparable subsea systems
  • Technical background in electronics, electrical systems, mechanics, or subsea technology
  • Previous marine experience
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in offshore conditions
  • Appropriate offshore certifications
