Job Description
PG Global is seeking two skilled and technically capable AUV Technicians to support offshore operations in Ghana. The chosen candidates will be responsible for preparing, deploying, operating, maintaining, and recovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) systems onboard. Working as part of the offshore survey team, you will ensure AUV equipment is fully operational and ready to support subsea inspection, survey, and data-gathering activities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and configure AUV systems and associated equipment for offshore operations
- Carry out pre-deployment checks, testing, and functional inspections
- Support the deployment and recovery of AUV systems from the vessel
- Monitor AUV performance and operational status during missions
- Troubleshoot technical, electrical, electronic, and communication faults
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and equipment servicing
- Assist with mission planning and review AUV operational data
- Maintain accurate equipment logs, maintenance records, and operational reports
- Work closely with surveyors, ROV personnel, vessel crew, and offshore management
- Follow all company HSE procedures and offshore safety requirements
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with AUV systems or similar subsea technology
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or subsea systems
- Marine experience preferred
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of an offshore team
- Relevant offshore certifications
