Job Description
PG Global is recruiting for an Electrical Technician to join an FPSO offshore Angola. You will carry out maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient production.
Requirements
-
Offshore experience on FPSOs or drilling rigs

CompEx Certification (EX01-04)
-
Valid offshore survival (BOSIET/FOET)

Strong troubleshooting skills
Core Responsibilities:

Installation & Setup
-
Install wiring systems, electrical panels, lighting, motors, and control systems.

Assemble and connect electrical components, circuit breakers, and transformers.

Support installation of automation systems, PLCs, and instrumentation (if in industrial settings).

Maintenance & Troubleshooting
-
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
-
Diagnose faults in wiring, circuits, and electrical devices using test instruments (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).

Repair or replace faulty wiring, motors, drives, or control systems.

Testing & Inspection
-
Test electrical systems for continuity, voltage, current, resistance, and insulation integrity.

Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
-
Maintain calibration of electrical instruments and sensors.
