Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electronic Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and control systems onboard a offshore vessel. The successful candidate will ensure all electronic equipment operates safely and efficiently, minimising downtime and supporting operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot electronic systems, including control panels and automation equipment
- Diagnose faults in navigation, communication, and instrumentation systems
- Assist with installation, calibration, and testing of electronic equipment
- Perform planned maintenance in line with company procedures
- Support engineers with system upgrades and repairs
- Maintain accurate technical records and reports
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in electronics, electrical engineering, or similar field
- Experience in marine, offshore, or industrial environments preferred
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of control systems and instrumentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and offshore working practices

- Low Voltage (Preferred)
- EX / COMPEX (Preferred)
- Drilling Experience, preferably Drillship or Semi Sub
- Following Experience – Hydril Gen 2 BOP Control systems (HMHW), NOV drilling package (Amphion systems experience preferred), Kongsberg VMS/DP/Safety systems
