Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electronic Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and control systems onboard a offshore vessel. The successful candidate will ensure all electronic equipment operates safely and efficiently, minimising downtime and supporting operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electronic systems, including control panels and automation equipment
  • Diagnose faults in navigation, communication, and instrumentation systems
  • Assist with installation, calibration, and testing of electronic equipment
  • Perform planned maintenance in line with company procedures
  • Support engineers with system upgrades and repairs
  • Maintain accurate technical records and reports

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in electronics, electrical engineering, or similar field
  • Experience in marine, offshore, or industrial environments preferred
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of control systems and instrumentation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety and offshore working practices

  • BOSIET/FOET
  • CA-EBS
  • High Voltage (Preferred)
  • Low Voltage (Preferred)
  • EX / COMPEX (Preferred)
  • Drilling Experience, preferably Drillship or Semi Sub
  • Following Experience – Hydril Gen 2 BOP Control systems  (HMHW), NOV drilling package (Amphion systems experience preferred), Kongsberg VMS/DP/Safety systems
