Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Engine Room Operator (ERO) to join a capable offshore team in Turkey. The successful candidate will support the safe and efficient operation of engine room machinery and assist engineering staff in maintaining vessel performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate engine room equipment, including engines, pumps, and auxiliary systems
- Conduct routine inspections and report any faults or abnormalities
- Assist engineers with maintenance, repairs, and equipment servicing
- Record operational data such as pressures, temperatures, and fuel consumption
- Ensure engine room cleanliness and adherence to safety standards
- Respond to alarms and support emergency procedures when required
Requirements
- Previous experience in an engine room or similar mechanical environment
- Basic understanding of marine engines and auxiliary systems
- Relevant marine certification and BOSIET/FOET + Medical Certs
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong awareness of safety procedures and compliance
- Willingness to work offshore rotational schedules
