Job Description
PG Global is seeking an experienced Motorman to support the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of engines, machinery and mechanical systems onboard an offshore installation or vessel. Working closely with the engineering team, the Motorman will carry out routine inspections, preventative maintenance and operational checks to ensure critical equipment remains reliable and ready for service.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of engines and mechanical equipment
- Carry out routine inspections and machinery checks
- Support preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Monitor pumps, compressors, generators and associated systems
- Identify mechanical faults and report equipment abnormalities
- Assist with repairs, servicing and component replacement
- Maintain machinery spaces, tools and work areas to a high standard
- Record maintenance activities and equipment readings
- Support engineers and senior mechanical personnel when required
- Follow permit-to-work, isolation and HSE procedures
- Participate in toolbox talks, drills and emergency response activities
Requirements:
- Previous Motorman or relevant mechanical experience
- Good knowledge of engines and mechanical systems
- Relevant marine or mechanical qualifications
- Offshore or vessel experience
- Strong fault-finding and practical maintenance skills
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Strong commitment to HSE standards
