Job Description
PG Global are recruiting certified Offshore Riggers to support lifting operations on an FPSO. You will play a critical role in lifting, moving, and securing heavy equipment and loads. Safety and precision are central to this job since operations will involve extremely heavy machinery in a hazardous environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lifting & Rigging Operations

Assemble and dismantle rigging gear (slings, shackles, wire ropes, chains).

Attach loads to cranes, hoists, and winches.

Direct crane operators during lifts using hand signals or radios.

Ensure all lifting operations comply with safety regulations.

Equipment Inspection & Maintenance

Inspect rigging gear and lifting equipment for wear, damage, or defects.

Maintain proper storage and certification records for rigging gear.

Report unsafe or damaged equipment.

Safety & Compliance
-
Follow offshore safety standards (LOLER, LOLA, OSHA, or equivalent).

Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and toolbox talks before lifts.

Enforce exclusion zones during crane and lifting operations.

Assist in emergency response if required.

Teamwork & Coordination

Work closely with crane operators, deck crews, and supervisors.

Support deck operations such as loading supply vessels, positioning equipment, or moving drilling tools.

Sometimes assist in general deck maintenance when not involved in lifting work.

Skills & Qualifications
-
Offshore survival and safety certifications (BOSIET/FOET, HUET, H2S).

Rigging & slinging certification (e.g., OPITO-approved).

Strong knowledge of lifting plans, load charts, and safe working loads (SWL).

Good communication skills, especially in noisy offshore environments.

Valid Stage 3 Rigger certification
