Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Senior Engine Room Operator (Senior ERO) to join a reliable offshore team in Turkey. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the engineering department and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of engine room systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily engine room operations and support junior engine room staff
- Monitor and operate main engines, generators, and auxiliary systems
- Assist engineers with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Ensure accurate recording of operational data and maintenance activities
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety within the engine room
- Respond to alarms and assist during emergency situations
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Engine Room Operator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of marine engines and mechanical systems
- All marine qualifications held and required certs such as BOSIET/FOET and Medicals
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and offshore working practices
