Job Description
PG is seeking a Technical Superintendent to lead the overall technical management (including technical services provided by third party managers) of LNG/LPG vessels under direct management of NSQL, in a reliable, safe and cost efficient manner. Support various projects and studies related to the fleet in order to ensure efficient and reliable operations, as well as ensure that all ships are being operated in compliance with the applicable regulations and legislations as well as class requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities:

Oversee planned maintenance systems and vessel technical performance

Manage dry dockings, repairs, and major maintenance projects

Prepare and control technical budgets and monitor expenditure

Ensure compliance with Class, Flag State, and statutory requirements

Conduct vessel inspections and provide technical support to onboard engineers

Liaise with ship managers, suppliers, and contractors
Qualifications:
• Marine Engineering degree (Class 1), preferably in motors and steam, or any other equivalent/relevant degree
• Sailed as chief engineer on board LNG/VLG Carriers
Experience:
• Minimum 8-12 years’ overall experience, with a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity supervising LNG/LPG vessels, OR
• Minimum 2 years’ experience of managing large scale repairs/maintenance activities on LPG/LNG vessels, OR
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Chief Engineer on board LNG/LPG vessels
Job Specific Skills:
• Project management, budget construction and making, engineering trouble shooting, management, and negotiation skills
• Ability to conduct risk assessments
• Ability to conduct accident investigations, root cause analysis with recommendations and provide comprehensive reports
• Knowledge of technical operations for Large Gas Carriers owned and managed
• Knowledge of cargo containment system, cargo handling equipment and systems on board Large Gas Carriers owned and managed
• Knowledge of propulsion plant on board Large Gas Carriers owned and managed
• Up-to-date knowledge of international and local marine rules and regulations
