Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Engineer to join a dynamic maritime team in the Gulf of Mexico. The ideal candidate will support the Chief Engineer in maintaining and operating the ship’s propulsion and auxiliary systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with international maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all engine room machinery and equipment.

Monitor performance of propulsion, electrical, and auxiliary systems.

Maintain accurate engineering logs and records.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures and environmental regulations.

Participate in inspections, surveys, and routine maintenance schedules.

Supervise engine room staff and coordinate daily work schedules.

Oversee fuel, lubrication, and water management systems.

Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance of machinery.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
Requirements:
- B1 OCS Visa

Valid 2nd Engineer certificate of competency

Minimum 3 years’ experience on commercial vessels

Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills

Knowledge of marine engineering systems and safety protocols
