Job Description

We are seeking a motivated 3rd Engineer to join an advanced maritime team in the Gulf of Mexico. Reporting to the 2nd and Chief Engineers, you will be responsible for assisting in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all engine room systems to ensure safe and efficient vessel performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor propulsion and auxiliary machinery.

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting under supervision.

  • Maintain logs, records, and reports of equipment performance.

  • Supervise engine room ratings during daily operations.

  • Assist with bunkering, fuel management, and pollution prevention duties.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards.

  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery, piping, and safety systems.

  • Monitor and maintain equipment such as boilers, purifiers, compressors, and pumps.

Requirements:

  • B1 OCS Visa
  • Valid 3rd Engineer Certificate of Competency

  • Minimum 3 years’ sea experience preferred

  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
