Job Description
PG Global is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the technical operations of an offshore support vessel in the Gulf of Mexico. The Chief Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient running of all engine room machinery, systems, and engineering crew.
Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the engine room and technical systems.

Supervise and support engine room staff, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Carry out planned maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs.

Monitor fuel and lube oil consumption, maintaining accurate logs and reports.

Ensure compliance with class, flag state, and international safety/environmental regulations (ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS).

Liaise with the Master and shore-based technical teams on operational and maintenance requirements.
Requirements
-
Chief Engineer Unlimited Certificate of Competency (STCW III/2).

Minimum 24 months’ experience in rank on offshore support or DP vessels.

Valid STCW certification, offshore survival (BOSIET/FOET), and medical (OGUK).

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
-
DP maintenance certification (advantageous).
