Job Description
PG Global is looking for an experienced Marine Surveyor to join a leading classification and inspection company in China. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vessel inspections, audits, and surveys to ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and industry standards.
Responsibilities

Carry out inspections, condition surveys, and class assessments on vessels.

Ensure compliance with IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, and flag state requirements.

Review technical documentation, stability data, and safety equipment records.

Prepare accurate technical reports and communicate findings to clients.

Provide guidance to shipowners, operators, and crew on compliance and best practices.

Support incident investigations and accident reporting when required.
Requirements

Class 1 Master Mariner or Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (STCW II/2 or III/2).

Minimum 5 years’ sea-going experience, with at least 2 years in a senior officer role.

Previous survey, inspection, or auditing experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of international maritime legislation and codes.

Excellent reporting and communication skills.
